WOODACRYLIC

About This Project

This our revolutionary proposal was designed for the furniture industry. After several years of testing Acrildesign it has achieved sheets composed of wood and acrylic which we called “WOODACRYLIC”. Are plates and blocks made from transparent acrylic in the inner part and of wood veneer on the two front surfaces. Many in the past have ventured into this company (coupled sheets of wood veneer of acrylic sheets). Until now they have been used techniques that used “hill” of various kinds to unite these two such different materials. This, however, encourage you was not without flaws and imperfections. Acrildesign instead used a very different technique. We “simply” cast acrylic transparent between two sheets of “Veneer” wood. During the step of crystallization of methacrylate molecules it binds intimately with the known “porous wood veneer”. The two materials in this way become a single material with very special characteristics … and still to be discovered. But there are two very different effects. The fact of wood may have a “corrugated” surface veneer that is created during the step of drying the moisture contained in the wooden logs. E ‘can then have two possibilities: 1 – Have the straight wooden surface 2 – Having the outer surface “corrugated” In the second version you get very special and unique Texture … as shown in the attached picture. By illuminating these slabs with a light “internal,” you can bring out the texture of wood by using it as an aesthetic element.
